I don't think you can really call them "title reigns". Maybe back in the 80s when someone used to be champion for like a couple years, but nowadays, titles change hands every week.

Someone could be champ one week, lose it for a week, and then win it again. They would officially call that 2, but its not really.

Kurt Angle is in New York City this week to do tons of press appearances to push TNA's two-hour debut in primetime this Thursday night at 9pm ET on Spike TV. TNAWrestlingNews.com will have live TNA media coverage all week.

SpikeTV.com will be running a 30 minute "pre-show" on Thursday night at 8:30pm ET before TNA's primetime debut at 9pm ET. A "Road to Genesis" special will also air this Saturday at 2pm ET and Midnight ET.

It appears TNA has interest in MMA star Bob Sapp, who has been in talks with WWE. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a K-1 official stated on a Japanese radio show that Sapp had signed with WWE and was joining the ECW roster. However, it doesn't appear the two sides are close on a deal at this time.

I don't know a lot about it either, but my understanding is that UFC is real. Its like the alternative for people who don't like "scripted" fights and soap opera storylines.

While on the(off)topic of UFC i have to add that UFC can not compare it's fighters with PRIDE fighters who are very dominat in mma.Just look at the statistics.Pride has the best pound 4 pound(and heavyweight) mma champion of all time! And not to mention that PRIDE has a very vital and interesting heavyweight division while UFC on the other hand has only a couple heavyweights who can not compare with PRIDE heavyweights.

Now i read somewhere that JBL will return to wrestling for one night only in Ireland to hepl(i think) Booker,Kennedy against the B.O.D. in a tag match. Now could that mean that B.O.D. will retrun for full time?

I watched the UFC stuff before and honestly from what I saw 80% of the time the matches suck. Its one guy latying on top of another guy. Its like if every WWE PPV match was mostly sleeper holds.

When the UFC matches are good they are awesome but they don't happen frequently enough IMO. I know WWE is scripted but you know that the matches are 'scripted' to be good.

The only time I'll even take a look at UFC is when I know that a fight ends due to KO. It is only these results that get me excited I mean a KO isn't an easy thing to pull off saying that most of the time you see it in UFC its a one of shot out of no where that catches everyone by surprise...it's even better if its from the guy that had his ass handed too him for the past three rounds and then he unloads a huge punch that levels the other fighter in 5 seconds flat. It's a shame that all the KO's in wrestling are 100% scripted!

The latest WWE video game SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 for the PS2 was the second best selling game in the UK last week. Expectations are that the game will bring incredible numbers.

Bobby Lashley is in the list for auditions for the MMA movie "Never Submit," is because Lashley is represented by MMA management. Sean Sherk, Chuck Liddell, Ken Shamrock, Phil Baroni Trevor Prangley, Josh Thompson, Jon Fitch, Cane Valesquez, Paul Buentello, Bobby Southworth, Forrest Griffin, Josh Koscheck, Cung Le, Mike Swick and Rashad Evans are other names listed as auditioning for roles in the movie. Auditions are on November 19th at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose and December 10th at the Gracie Barra facility in the Chicago area.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Ashley Massaro suffered some sort of an implant injury either yesterday or today on the European tour.

BowDwnToTheKing sent this in: While watching RAW and ECW this week on Time Warner Digital Cable (Queens, NY) a promo ran halfway through both shows (10:00PM during RAW and 10:30PM during ECW) hyping TNA's debut in primetime this Thursday. The promo heavily promoted Kurt Angle saying he would wrestle but not against who (Abyss). Promo gave the time, date and channel while promoting. In my opinion this was a great move by TNA getting these played for the casual fan who has no idea who TNA is.

Ashley's latest injury would be her fourth brush with pain this year. In February, Ashley suffered a spiral crack in her left fibula while being eliminated from a women's Battle Royal. The injury required surgery because a plate had to be positioned in her leg. She was on crutches for about two months. In August, Massaro's right knuckle shattered during a match with Kristal Marshall. Ashley had to wear a hand cast for four weeks, but no surgery was required. If that wasn't enough, Ashley was involved in a car accident after leaving the LaGuardia Airport in New York a few weeks later. The accident occurred on a nearby highway going about 60 miles an hour. Ashley seemed fined from the accident, but her car was wrecked.

WWE and Madison Square Garden will be making some sort of joint announcement next Tuesday. There is no word yet on what the announcement will be, but it will probably be for a major PPV to be held in the building next year. SummerSlam was originally scheduled to take place in MSG, but then it was moved to the Continental Airlines Arena. Perhaps SummerSlam in MSG is back on. Practically all of the WWE PPVs scheduled for next year already have their venues booked.

Hulk Hogan was on the Bubba the Love Sponge yesterday. Hogan said that he still wants a match with Steve Austin at WrestleMania. TNA was also brought up and Hogan said that for the right price he would go to TNA. Bubba asked if $6 million per year was the right price and Hogan laughed and said that kind of money isn't even in his league. Hulk Hogan also said that Swede Hanson and Angelo Mosca were the toughest guys in wrestling he came across.

'Mike Johnson': The reasons for Ric Flair and Roddy Piper losing the World Tag Team Titles this past Monday night on Raw in Manchester to Edge and Randy Orton was due to a medical situation involving Piper. According to reports, Piper has some type of intestinal/bowel problem and needed to return to the United States as soon as possible to receive medical attention for it.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Big Show’s career as a wrestler could be in jeopardy. Sources close to the ECW World Champion indicate that his back problems have gotten worse and that he will be leaving the company at least temporarily in a few weeks.
Big Show was removed from the European house show tour and replaced with Paul Heyman because of the severity of his back problems. At least one source says that it is nearly guaranteed that Show will lose his title during the Elimination Chamber match and it may be the final match of his career. While he’s still contractually obligated to WWE until at least early December, there’s a chance he could work a match or two right after the PPV, but that remains unlikely. It should be noted that Big Show is legitimately 530 pounds.

WWE officials are so confident that Monty Brown is going to sign that according to at least one backstage source Johnny Ace has already gave creative team members orders to begin writing a storyline to bring Brown into the company.

Sad news for big show.I've been following show's 11 year career from the very start when he choked hogan in a dungeon of doom segment. If he were to retire he could look back at a great career maineventing from the very start against the likes of flair and hogan and at one point being the youngest world champ ever.

Always been a fan of Show right from the word Go.I truly hope that he has some matches left in him.

On another note Monty Brown has now signed with WWE.

It's interesting that they are listing him as a former NFL player and not as a former wrestler....

True but I doubt the the WWE wants to bring any kind of focus towards TNA or any other wrestling promotion.

The Daily newspaper featured in the UK, The Sun, had a very emotional interview with William Regal last week. In the interview it went in depth on fully describing his illness. The major shock was when Regal was told he needed a heart transplant and that he could never wrestle again.

As noted earlier, the final ECW House Show that was to be presented by WWE Monday in Williamsport, PA has now been cancelled. According to reports, a decision was made for some ECW talent to appear on Monday Night Raw tomorrow night in Baltimore, MD to push the Survivor Series PPV. As reported earlier, the plan within WWE is to combine ECW and Smackdown House Shows until at least April of 2007.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that The Undertaker currently has what has been described as a severe rib injury that he suffered during the WWE's recent tour of Europe. It should be noted that Undertaker worked a few dates during the tour overseas wearing a rib protector at House Show events. He is slated to still work the Survivor Series PPV against Mr. Kennedy, but will be very limited in what he can do.
