Okay, here's an opportunity for those Canadians to tell me why Canadia is so great and why it is better than the United States. Maybe you guys can convince me to move out of my coconut tree and move in to a great Canadia Pine Tree. But really, what makes Canada great? And what did you guys do when there was no hockey? :|

can you give me a light list of 10 or so? I don't have that much time. And since I am from the US you might assume that I am illiterate. So please, if you can, small list, and small words. Help me understand what Canada is all about.

I hear it is a magical land of sunflowers! Miles and miles of sunflowers. And that after you reach the end of these flowers there are these glorious clean cities that are much to cold to walk around about without a coat made from the sunflower seed chewer. And past the cities are these huge spans of land...filled with sunflowers. Thats what i heard.:D

If a guy named Shit Pile touched a nerve with a c- joke, then most likely you don't get enough uv ray's. I'd get to a porch or tanning bed. ;)

I would just like to refernece a quote from the great Eric Mathews and his friend Jason:
Eric: I don't skate. At all.
Jason: Canadians skate. How hard could it be?

And your point being ?

My point being is that I was having a bit of fun with Duke...I don't think he had a problem with what I said, based on his comeback at me, as I don't with that...it's all in good fun...wight? ;)

I'm not Canadian, but I drive through Canada on my way from Detroit to upstate New York and I'll point out some good and bad things.

GOOD:

1. Windsor, Ontario is a nice destination if you're underage in the U.S. For one, you can drink at the bars there and also hit on the young U.S girls that fill them up on weekends. To make things even better, you can gamble at Casino Windsor. I've been to Vegas, and the Casino Windsor is actually on par with some of the casinos on the strip.

2. In the middle of nowhere, there will be random gas station/megastores. They may not be fancy, but they serve as the gas station, video rental place, party store, and fine gift outlet for whole towns. Those towns may have a population of 15, so I can see why these places exist.

3. You can laugh at weird French-speaking people at rest stops.

BAD:

1. The bars have lots of weird Asian dudes staring you down, especially if you try and hit on their girlfriends. Fighting in a parking lot may ensue. Also, don't go to the Casino Windsor with more than 10 dollars. You will lose and then have no money to buy gas for the way home. If you already have gas for the way home, you might be on your merry way only to get stopped at customs for a "random" search. Oh Canada indeed.

2. Random gas stations will have a wide variety of bad movie sequels to choose from. Do people in Canada really enjoy watching Caddyshack 2, any Police Academy movies, and/or Robocop 17? Also, the attendants at these places may be men or may be women. The point is, it's usually very hard to tell. I just call them all "Pat." That takes away from any possible confusion...

3. You have to listen to weird French-speaking people at rest stops.

I just saw a Tim Hortons commercial on an American channel. I kind of freaked me out.

(and i know it wasn't one of those canadian dub-overs because it was a digital channel)

I think there is one Tim Horton's for every square mile of land in Canada.
Before they started up in the U.S, I'd see them in Windsor and didn't even know what they were.
Now they're popping up all over Michigan and they're actually pretty solid joints.
They've got these sexy little cinnamon rolls now too...good stuff haha.

The greater Halifax area has around 50 Tim's.

Its basically the Canadian equivalent of Starbucks, only Tim's coffee doesn't suck and doesn't cost a million dollars and they actually sell REGULAR coffee.
