I'm looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 4....but I don't have a Playstation 3. I do have a Xbox 360 and Wii, though.

I had a 360 but got the red lights of death and decided to change to a PS3 which is a beautiful machine that I'm really enjoying so far i've got COD4, Assassins Creed, Uncharted & SmdvsRaw08 of course like everyone GTA4 is a big hit in my calender for this year.

I own a Wii as well more of fun console this looking forward to wii fit and Mario kart oh everyone with a wii should own mario galaxy the game is msasive and a lot of fun.

Did you like Assasin's Creed Phynix? I sold it back, I didn't like it at all.

Yo Nekkid The Orange Box its well worth the money but it carrys on the Half Life story I recommend you eith play Half Life or know the story before you start on the Orange box!

Force unleashed is a must this year, new graphics engine built from the ground up and the ability to take control of the force as a proper sith sounds like what Star Wars fans have been waiting for (I heard theres a level where you get to kil Jar-Jar! I don't care if this is a joke or not the idea alone has made me happy for a long time lol)

Assassins Creed is a good game but repetative actions leading up to the main assassinations can be a big annoyance. I enjoyed the massive citys and the reply is there because no kill is the same!

Yes I found it very repetitive. Then I was setting off the alarms and could not figure out why. I liked the idea, but it didn't work for me. I think the best game I played all year was Mass Effect.

I should play half life first? Is that for 360?

yeah I would recommend playing half life first! It as originally on pc you may be able to find a ps2 version around half life is an old game but still one of the best if you get the orange box on pc you can join the steam download network and get the entire half life story which is a growing number of games all from different points of view of the same incident! A must for serious gamers!

I agree with Phynix. The Half-Life series is in my opinion one of the best if not THE best game I've ever played. Incredibly deep storyline and the game-play will keep you on your toes the whole time.

And as Phynix pointed out, you should know the storyline behind the original Half-Life game before you go out and get Orange Box. Might not be that much fun to play the original as the graphics are probably a bit dated by now, but if that doesn't bother you, the game and story are a blast!

ne rate orage box was slick mass effect was outrageous cod4 is so sick halo3 ..... ummmmm could ya make it any shorter .....?
but i haffta say surprised as i was to find metroid prime corruption was the best game ive played in the last 12 months cant believe the wii rock out that kinda graffix the controls were sick beyond imagination hell i like it better then blacksite

currently playing half-life 2 episode 2...great so far, damn antlion guardians...episode 3 is supposed to come out this year...i read that the 3 episodes are supposed to be half-life 3...instead of making fans wait 5 years, they would release part 3 in yearly installments..half-life is great and so is portal.

With all this talk about half life I began to think about why I like it and what it is that makes a good game? I realised that the characters that I see and interact with are important to me and that I times I actually care about them. This makes the game more really if that's possible. It's like call of duty 4 I never saw the ending for the marine storyline coming, it completly blew me away because you just assume certain things so when the storyline changes and goes off at a strange angle or one that you didn't expect it tends to make you stop and think about what is happening! The power of games? What makes a good game for you? Do you have favourite gaming moments?
For me the beach landing on medal of honour allied assult was very atmospheric!

Holy shit i can't believe you said that. Same here. The level you're wearing that gas mask was crazy too. The atmosphere in Pain Killer is my fav so far, though the storyline isn't that good. Phynix do you play allied assault multiplayer?

So I own a Xbox 360 and a Wii.

My Wii is currently at my girlfriend's house and I haven't really gotten to play it all that much. I plan to probably get Mario Galaxies.

But...anyway...I'm really looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 4...and I'll probably buy a PS3 because of it.

Question, what kind of TVs do you all have?

I'm thinking about getting a 26 inch...I just have a tube right now and you can't really experience what the 360 or PS3 have to offer without a HDTV. Anyone have good experiences with any particular brands?

ok I got my wii and my ps3 hooked up to a 32inch HD samsung and I can't fault it, I've been looking at some surround sound as well!

Mario galaxy is a must get for all u wii owners but what is there to look forward to on the wii? Mario kart? Super smash brothers? Wii fit?

Hey duke sorry to say my allied assult multiplayer days are over dye to the age of my pc I'm just starting to hit cod4 on ps3 online just learning my way at the moment which involves me getting my ass shot alot by the vetrans of the online world!

Just worked through a preview of MGS4 looks very nice with some new things being added to keep the franchise fresh!
