Heh, heh, you guys are going to love this.

According to Bloomberg News, the Fed is now refusing to disclose where this $800 Billion bailout is going!

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aatlky_cH.tY&refer=worldwide

The lead paragraph

The Federal Reserve is refusing to identify the recipients of almost $2 trillion of emergency loans from American taxpayers or the troubled assets the central bank is accepting as collateral.

Notice that number up there ($2 trillion). Wasn't this supposed to be limited to about $850 billion? Well, it appears that this is Bush and his cronies final theft of our money and property. My bet is the only people actually seeing any of this cash are in the top 1% of US earners.

Lastly, Mark Cuban has started a website which is trying to track down whats going on:

http://www.bailoutsleuth.com/

Hold on to your wallets, we're all being sold down the river. Thank your local Republican.

Go back to school -- $608 billion divided by 300 million people equals $2,027 apiece.... ;)
I'll be honest, though i think the real number is around 15 thousand apiece per year, i've become really cynical over the last 2 years. A nations wealth has come up missing atleast 3 times since the war, and i don't believe these same circumstances can come about accidently over and over.

Thanks Tex but i especially don't understand now. If every citizen of the United States was 70 years old then according to the stats, they should get almost exactly 2 billion dollars each per year. Instead Social Security is spent and broken. I don't expect to learn economics off a forum but goddamn.

This is what basically Social Security pays for.

Federal Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance
Unemployment benefits
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
Health Insurance for Aged and Disabled (Medicare)
Grants to States for Medical Assistance Programs (Medicaid)
State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

I don't care what you say the Governmemt is giving you the old back door treatment. Even if Obama does want a change, it's not going to happen until after Jan. 20 2009 . Now the auto companys want a bail out! Didn't I remember sometime around the early 80's the Governmet bailing out Chrysler ? What the f_ck ! Now they need another one. That just goes to show you the snow ball effects these freak'en "hand outs" are doing.

Duke,

I'll be honest, though i think the real number is around 15 thousand apiece per year,

I think you're thinking about the amount that each "taxpayer" would owe to the national debt "if" it were divided amongst each taxpayer. Not absolutely positive of that but I think its correct.

...i've become really cynical over the last 2 years. A nations wealth has come up missing at least 3 times since the war, and i don't believe these same circumstances can come about accidently over and over.

Now you're getting it! This stuff isn't accidental. Its a matter of the extremely wealthy making a final grab for all the marbles while they can. Its all laid out in Naomi Klein's book "The Shock Doctrine". Pick it up and read it. You'll be amazed.

elmer,

I don't care what you say the Governmemt is giving you the old back door treatment. Even if Obama does want a change, it's not going to happen until after Jan. 20 2009.

Actually, its going to take a lot longer than that. A brief true story. A good friend of mine (a professor) was an Undersecretary in the Interior Department during the Clinton Administration. Meaning that the only person she reported to was the Secretary of the Interior. She's a hard charging individual that you don't say no to and has a reputation for getting things done (probably why she got the job).

I had the opportunity to sit down with her a couple of months ago over lunch and I asked her about her experience in Washington. Basically, she said that it was almost impossible to get much of anything done there because just about everyone is an attorney and you can't fire anybody. She was not impressed and wouldn't do that again. She managed to get a few things done but nothing like she had wanted.

So how much will Obama be able to do? Judging from my friend's experience, not nearly enough. She also said something about it being a favorite sport out there to tear someone down once they reach a certain level.

With a government like that, how much can we really expect? And also, how long can a government last with that type of attitude?

Now the auto companys want a bail out! Didn't I remember sometime around the early 80's the Governmet bailing out Chrysler ? What the f_ck ! Now they need another one. That just goes to show you the snow ball effects these freak'en "hand outs" are doing.

Well, Paulson came out today and said that the auto companies aren't getting any of the $800+ billion, that's all for the financial interests. I think GM just received about $25 billion about a month ago but all three are now asking for much more. And it was in the early 1980's that Chrysler was bailed out by Reagan. But I think they did pay that back.

It is interesting to see how much corporate welfare is available, but not a drop for the average family. Trickle down at its finest.

Maybe this will simplify things.... ;)

Bar Stool Economics

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80."

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so: The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings)
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant the men began to compare their savings." I only got a dollar out of the $20" declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,"but he got $10." "Yeah, that's right" exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than me!"
"That's true!" shouted the seventh man."Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Some people seem to think that the President's job is income redistribution and not revenue enhancing tax policies.....

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

My man Ron Paul is out. He is the only one I would have voted for.

Our elections resemble more a reality T.V. show than electing a leader. Coke or Pepsi in this POP election? A good rule of thumb in casting a voet for these sophists is if their a part of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)...

Nominating McCain will forever baffle me, he is not a conservative at all. He doesn't believe, either does BUSH, what the GOP stands for, like Ron Paul said, "The party has lost its way."

But anyway anyone who isn't a part of the eliist establishment gets outcast in our corporate propaganda machine (aka Mainstream media) Believe me Obama, McCain, and most the other gooks who ran in the primaries are part of the CFR, you will see no beneficial change electing those traitors; only globalist policies.

Ron Paul 2012 - a man who said the crash was comming soon.
