Even though I'm Canadian I'd sooner see Obama in office down there than McCain...

I'm not too familiar with their promises and political views...so I voted for Obama.

The main reason is that McCain's voters are mostly idiots or dumbasses - at least that's how they seem to me when I have watched news and interviews.

Not a fan of Palin, Joe the Plumber and Tito the Contractor (or whatever idiot names they're coming up with)?

thats the "American" way . pick the one with the lube:butt:

Exactly, cause if I'm gonna get ass fucked by the economy and the government in general, I'm voting for the guy who's going to at least make it gentle. I've got my priorities. Oh, and I just voted for real about 5 minutes ago. Now I gotta get it notarized.

Where will Faux News go next? Luis the tile guy, Diego the roofer, Bob the Builder?

Boom,

Man, those idiots at Faux News are practically shrieking nowadays. Its really kind of interesting to watch (kind of like watching Rome burn). Shepherd Smith seems to be the only anchor there that is at least somewhat neutral. I wonder how he keeps his job?

And I think they're already using Bob the builder (as well as every other name you can think of).

Anyone who has been around this forum for any length of time knows which side of the discussion I am on. Both of them have faults, but only one of them has a past that is public record and is not afraid to discuss it.

Amen. I'm really not ready for this "spread the wealth" mantra (read "socialism") that is being bandied about. Unfortunately, it seems to get votes from alot of people. Of course what they say in public and what they do after the curtain closes in the voting booth can be very different.... ;)

I highly doubt that either presidential candidate will be able to get that much done that they say, Dem, Rep, Ind, Green, Lib, any of them.

It will be Obama and in the long run, it might be good to get a Democrat back in office after having a Republican in office for all this time...

What did we worry about with Clinton? Monica? That was about it...

I mostly (read- 99% of the reason) hope Obama wins because McCain is 72 so there is a fairly decent chance he could die in office, which means that Nazi-like kill-animals-for-fun sour faced cuntprick that is Sarah Palin will be President. And Obama didn't come across as a complete cunt like McCain did a fair bit in the debates.

Except that Sarah Palin actually has more experience running a government (local in this case) than Obama has.

Being a Scot, and I can't vote in the real election, I have went for Obama. Reason, I don't think McCain will do anything about the mess the American economy is in.

A point worth considering is if Obama does win, will we see the first woman president in 4 years time, yes I am talking about Hilary Clinton.

DON'T FUCK IT UP THIS TIME!

unlike the Canadian election, which not even Canadians cared about, the US election matters to the WHOLE world. so its the American voter's duty to make sure the world doesn't blow up.

god help us
