Smackdown DID get the short end of the stick in this draft. Batista
alone can't boast ratings for this damaged show. i knew Triple H
wouldn't dare bring his own "star power" to Smackdown; instead he
just arranged for some 'fresh meat' to come over and help him maintain
his fresh storylines. Let's see how long it takes before he beats Cena for
the belt. Cena's HOT right now(like it or not!) and Triple H wants to ride
some of that i'm sure.

You guys give Triple H way too much credit on what goes on backstage. You really don't know what is going on backstage or who is in charge but I'm sure Vinnie Mac made the changes and not Trips, he does still own the company.

I've been hearing that the draft is not fully closed.. Expect maybe a couple of lower card wrestlers to change sides without much fuss or fanfare.. I'm trying to work out who are the legitimate Smackdown World Title contenders for Batista's Title.. I've come up with:
Muhammed Hasan
JBL
Chris Benoit
Christian
Booker T??
Eddie Guerrero
Heidenreich??
Undertaker
Randy Orton..

Looking at that list I was actually surprised at the number of guys I came up with... I wouldn't write Smackdown off right away... Interesting times ahead..

Yea dude, last week I was quite impressed. I actually turned up the sound on Smackdown. Juvi juice showed up, bout time. He was one the first to drop the 450 splash, dude was bad. I love Mileenas entrace, and the draft picks have switched it up a lil. So far, I think they are moving forward.

BTW best Raw moment, Carlito saying Raw drafted a lemon, and then RVD comes out. Them two in the ring talkin shit was great. SHould get a good feud going.

okaY I forot about The book man. but Heidenreich???? how the hell could you put him in the title picture? He is enteraining to a certain degree but main event?.Come on He wouldn'T have even made the main event in the early 90's when the WWE was full of hosses'.

Here are some wrestling terms in case you don't already know them

it hard to cheer for Smackdown considering how poorly planned
it's been this past year. Their slump has pretty much put the show
on the cancellation block this coming season. The draft didn't convince
me that WWE cares about improving the show. The best thing they
can do now is push Batista as a true top star/ champion without having
to share the spotlight with Triple H.

With Hulk Hogan's VH1 series debuting on Sunday, July 10, it's no
surprise he'd return to RAW to raise his profile. The timing was great
not only for Hogan, but also for WWE as it gave WWE a chance to
spotlight Cena in an ideal situation where he could literally rub shoulders
with two of WWE's all-time top babyfaces.

Boy, did Ric Flair ever shut up his critics Monday!! He may no longer be
the '60-Minute Man', but at age 56 he still managed to show us all why
he'll be regarded as one of the best of all time. Also, Angle showed why
his name will be mentioned alongside Flair's in the history books.

Both men put on an amazing show!!

The WWE a few days ago talked to Matt Hardy about coming back.The talks will go on but Matt still is upset about the whole thing.Vince thinks he can make money on Matt coming back.This could be good for Matt.He could do the storyline with Lita and Edge.Move to Smackdown.Matt a big draw now because the fans want him back.The WWE will be getting rid of some of the low profile wrestlers in the weeks to come.No big names are going but wrestlers that on Heat or not big names.

Steve Austin was recently interviewed for The London Sun, discussing several topics including the match that never happened with Goldberg, on the possibility of wrestling Hulk Hogan, his thoughts on the
ECW One Night Stand show, and much more:

On Wrestling Hulk Hogan: "I'd be happy to get it on with Hulk Hogan. I've heard what he's been saying - and that match is something that could definitely happen. If they can build it right, the money is right, the event is right and if the story can be told correctly then, yeah, I will fight him. I've never wrestled the guy before and I think it would be an important match. Because it would be the two biggest draws in the history of the wrestling business one-on-one for the first time ever."

On ECW One Night Stand: "I loved that PPV. It was exactly what ECW was about - violence, calamity, bloodshed, brutality and some very interesting characters. I was a part of ECW for a short time and basically started honing my character there, before I came into the WWE. But I don't think One Night Stand will have a tremendous affect on the business, as far as like, 'oh, we'll have one every month now'. I think this thing happened for a reason, because it needed to happen, and I'd love to see one or two a year. But you don't want to prostitute it out by doing anything more than that. When you look at the business in the long haul, that was a great shot of adrenalin, a little burst, but you really have to tell stories through gradual transgressions. You can't go out there every week and hit them with everything you've got."

The Reaction of WWE Performers to the ECW PPV: "Everybody was certainly affected by what they saw and felt. Because if you went to that event - and I don't care if you've wrestled for 20 years, one year or zero years - and didn't notice how into that show the crowd was then you probably don't have a pulse."

The Match with Bill Goldberg That Never Happened: "When Vince bought WCW out in 2001, Bill was still making guaranteed money (from his AOL/Time Warner contract) by sitting in the house. So OK, I respect the fact that he's a businessman and he made his money. But had he jumped to the WWE when I was running strong and going crazy - and everything was just unbelievable business wise - it could have been the biggest feud of all time. He could have made more working with me than sitting on his butt taking WCW's money. I'm not knocking what he did but no one can say WWE missed the boat and no can say I missed the boat - Bill Goldberg missed the boat."

His Relationship with Vince McMahon: "In most business instances we've always seen eye-to-eye. But sometimes, where I thought maybe Vince was being influenced by someone else, that was when that contact broke down. For example, when I found out about that one deal when they wanted to beat me on Raw with Brock Lesnar in an unadvertised match. I said: 'I'm the guy who picked this company up from nothing and carried it for many years on my back and all of a sudden you want me to go out and do a job to this guy who's trying to get over? No, it doesn't work like that.' It was a bad business decision and I wasn't going to have any part of it. My answer was to say: 'F*** you, I'm walking out.'"

Just look at that list... Crap with the exception of Rene Dupree and the possibility of jindrak living up to his potential. Other than that... Who cares?

They better be planning on making Chavo Mid card status because other than the IC title I see him doing nothing. People already caught a glimpse of Jindraks potential in WCW, I saw it, but ever since his first day in the WWE he sucked ass hopefully they will give him a character and build him up right. I can't wait to see the French Phenom suck the life out of Heat, like it already had a heartbeat.

you have to give Nova alittle more credit than former sponsor of Raw

# SCW Tag Team titles w/Blue Meanie;
# BCW (Border City Wrestling) Tag Team titles w/Tommy Dreamer;
# UPW Tag Team titles w/Frankie Kazarian;
# PCW (Phoenix Championship Wrestling) World Tag Team titles w/Frankie Kazarian;
# Russ Haas Memorial Cup w/R.C. Haas;
# OVW Heavyweight title;
# OVW Tag Team titles w/Aaron Stevens defeating Chris Cage & Tank Toland (October 10, 2003)

From WWE.com-- BREAKING NEWS: Brock Lesnar to meet with WWE officials"

From what sources close to the situation have told me, Lesnar has actually
been in talks with WWE for at least the last week. I have heard that he is
expected to return shortly to the company.

Lesnar recently sued WWE trying to get out of the long-term
no-compete contract that he signed when he left the company after
WrestleMania in 2004. As mentioned above, the sides have been
talking and with WWE's acknowledgment of that, I expect him to
return sooner rather than later.

PS-

The total cut list from WWE since yesterday:

Charlie Haas
Miss Jackie
Akio
Billy Kidman
Spike Dudley
Bubba Ray Dudley
D-Von Dudley
Matt Morgan
Marty Jaenetty
Dawn Marie
Maven
Gangrel
Mordecai
Shannon Moore
Marc Lloyd

Damnit, they got rid of CHarlie Haas? I liked that little dude too. :breathefi

They tossed the dudelys too, I know they havent been in any story lines for a while now, but why get rid of them? Vince should replace the fucking heart throbs with them. Morgan is gone too? WtF. His character was stupid but he was a big guy that smackdown needed. And if Lesnar does make it back, that would have been a decent fued seeing as how Morgan stole his finisher. Maven was a total jobber, better face than heel.

I alsway thought mordecai dropped that gimmick LONG time ago when it wasnt working when he was up on tv. That was old news. Im shocked he was sstill around. Didnt wwe just resign Gangrel recently too? WWe is all screwed up now. SOme of those names i dont care about, but some shouldnt have been released.
