George "Sparky" Anderson passed yesterday. Great man and ambassador of the game of baseball. He will forever be remembered as the the man who guided the "Big Red Machine" in the 1970's. He will be missed. Thanks Sparky!

His best roles (in my opinion) were in The Forbidden Planet and The Poseidon Adventure. But Viva Knievel was pretty darn cool as well.

You'll be missed Lt. Frank Drebin!

And now we've lost Irvin Kershner. Probably not as well known as Leslie Nielsen, but still a sad loss.

And now we've lost Irvin Kershner. Probably not as well known as Leslie Nielsen, but still a sad loss.

It's funny, he directed one of the greatest and most beloved films of all time, yet most people still think George Lucas was the director. A truly sad loss for Star Wars fans the world over.

Former Chicago Cubs third baseman and current Cubs broadcaster Ron Santo has died this morning in Arizona.

He slipped into a coma Thursday night and died at about 1:00 a.m.

Santo was one of the Cubs' more colorful players and certainly displayed his passion for the baseball team when in the broadcast both.

Santo has been battling diabetes and its complications for several years. Santo was 70 years old.

What a great baseball player and an inspiration for many. He will be missed!

TMZ.com said:
Actor Jeff Conaway — best remembered for his roles as bad boy Kenickie in Grease, struggling actor Bobby Wheeler in Taxi, and security officer Zack Allan in Babylon 5passed away today after spending several weeks in a coma, most likely caused by a drug overdose. He was 60. Despite objections from his ex-girlfriend Vikki Lizzi, who claimed Conaway had granted her power of attorney, he was taken off life support earlier today by his family.

I grew up watching Grease and can still quote every single line from the movie.. He was doing so much better lately too...
