Laphroaig has a very astringent flavour which you get with the Island malts: it tastes of the sea. I prefer the more mellow mainland malts myself. Glenfiddich is a favourite of mine, but I have tasted the Blair Atholl single malt and that is superb. Scotland is full of top quality whisky to suit most palates, and then there is Ireland...I would like to be the Managing Director of the Laphroaig Distillery on the Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland.
If you have ever tasted Laphroaig you will know why. I love the stuff and for just one day would like access to their vaults and all the rare bottles within.
but money can't buy happiness.
Wrong. When I have money I'm happy. When I spend it all I'm unhappy.
Id like to be Hugh Hefner , on my ( his ) birthday . - What a life .
